Monday- March 30, 2020
Yesterday on the 29th, we were suppose to celebrate the Vietnam Veterans who heroically entered Vietnam fighting for the citizens of Vietnam. Even though they didn’t get a celebration when they first came back, they got one during the past decade. Due to the COVID-19, the celebration has been reduced to just virtual meeting with the government encouraging the veterans and their family members to stay at home and participate in virtual celebrations instead.
Tuesday- March 31, 2020
During a Coronavirus press meeting in the Whitehouse, Presidents Trump asked multiple business leaders to help the nation during this pandemic. The business leaders include Darius Adamczyk of Honeywell, who is starting two new facilities in Rode Island and Arizona, hiring 800 new employees. His plan is to make N95 face-masks in these facilities. He is also raising a $10 million fund for the Honeywell workers.
Wednesday- April 1, 2020
The Whitehouse estimates 240 thousand American deaths in April with the daily rate of 1000 deaths per day. The company Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are racing to get a new vaccine, Moderna is doing human trails and J&J will be starting human trails by September, the Whitehouse estimates to have an emergency vaccine by 2021 and to have it ready for public use by 2022. Comfort, a US Navy hospital ship has been docked in NewYork city to prepare for the months ahead with possibly 2000 deaths per day in Mid-April
Thursday-April 2, 2020
The US hit a new record of unemployment with 700 thousand people without jobs which is 4.4% of the whole American population. Many engineers and entrepreneurs are trying to help scientists and healthcare workers by finding new ways to test for Coronavirus and get faster results. Abbott Laboratories has created a test that could deliver results in jest 15 minutes, the test runs on a platform the size of a small toaster. The Lab is expecting to deliver about 50,000 tests per day, because of its size, it can also be in clinics and not just hospitals. Further more, the FDA has approved the use of anti-malaria drugs as possible COVID-19 treatment.

The US intelligence service says that China is lying about the number of people infected with COVID. The officials say that even though the disease started in the city of Wuhan, China in late 2019, China has only reported about 82,000 cases and 3,300 deaths, compared to the United States number of 189,000 cases and more than 4,000 deaths. While the city of Wuhan is under lockdown, both Chinese and non-Chinese citizens are doubting the government.
